The world is falling apart

People say it has never been so bad in their living memory. Entire cities and communities have been affected. And the learned analysts say that it has just began and the end is nowhere to be seen. The recession that started in mid 2008 has now taken the shape of an epidemic. A single mom that I met in the library today was let go from her work yesterday. I could hear her sobbing and later when I talked to her she said that she is supporting her two kids and has to hit the street again job searching in an environment where there are no jobs and scores of laid off job seekers. What can be more awful than this ? Media is adding to the frenzy by continuously airing the most pessimistic and negative numbers that are available. These are the same guys who an year before had no clue of what was about to happen? Charities and food banks are being robbed of their already dwindling contributions. As a student I am not sure of what the future has in store for me. But I hope the best for me and the other people around.

Keeping aside all the media and political statements... and considering the market analysts perspective... the worst is yet to come...

it is not showing signs of getting stabilised anytime soon...

This shows that we have failed to learn our lessons from 1931...

Hopefully, we come out of this soon and make our economic systems work in the right way for the future generations to come...

good point made...

take care da... cheers..

After every depression comes happiness so time to sit tight, control emotions against bad trends, happenings (mind it i m quiet bad at that m just reminding myself) and wait for the market to go up, up and away.

As Harshita's blog mentions somewhere: Once your hit the rock bottom the only way is up...let's pray we have hit the rock bottom...By the way how's your dad...

Hi Sneha, Very touching post indeed. Yes, the situation looks pathetic. This recession has hit everyone so badly...cannot be explained in words. I find myself to be lucky to escape from it. But still I feel so sad for some of my friends who are in search of jobs but all in vain. And they want me to help them. But I am helpless..Anyways, all the best for your future !
